Chasing Fall: 5 Perfect Fall Getaways to Add to Your Travel List
Fall might just be my favorite time to travel. The weather cools down, the leaves start changing, and some places just feel completely different this time of year. If you’re looking for a cozy weekend getaway or just want to travel somewhere new, these are five fall destinations I’d put on the list.
1. Stowe, Vermont 🍁
If you’re looking for that picture-perfect New England fall, Stowe is hard to beat. Colorful mountain roads, covered bridges, little shops and crisp fall weather make it the kind of place that belongs on a fall bucket list.
2. Salem, Massachusetts 🎃
There’s just something about Salem in the fall. Historic streets, beautiful old homes, cozy shops and all the Halloween atmosphere make it such a fun October getaway. It’s definitely one of those places I’d love to experience at least once in the fall.
3. Bar Harbor, Maine 🍁⛴️
Bar Harbor feels made for fall. Between the colorful coastline, charming downtown and Acadia National Park right next door, it’s the perfect mix of beautiful scenery and cozy small-town charm. I’d definitely put this one on the list for a fall getaway.
4. Aspen, Colorado ⛰️🍁
Aspen isn’t just for ski season. In the fall, the mountains turn shades of gold and the whole town feels a little quieter and cozier. Between the mountain views, scenic drives and beautiful downtown, this would be such a pretty fall escape.
5. New York City 🗽🍂
New York City has a completely different feel in the fall. Central Park starts showing off its fall colors, the weather is perfect for walking, and there’s something about grabbing a coffee and exploring the city on a crisp fall day. It’s a classic for a reason.
Now the hardest part is deciding which one to visit first. Whether you’re looking for colorful mountain views, a cozy small town or a fall weekend in the city, there’s something special about traveling this time of year. Happy fall travels! 🍂
